On October 3, the North Korean media
reported that the Academy of Defense Science successfully test-fired a
new type of SLBM, the Pukguksong-3, in the waters off the eastern city
of Wonsan on October 2 and that Kim Jong Un, on behalf of the Central
Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), sent warm
congratulations to the defense scientists who conducted the test.
On September 28, the North Korean media reported that Pak Pong Ju,
vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission, provided field guidance
at various units in South Pyeongan Province including the Phyongsong
Irrigation Machine Factory, the Phyongsong Artificial Leather Factory,
and the construction site of the Sunchon Phosphate Fertilizer Factory.
On September 28, the North Korean media reported that Premier Kim
Jae Ryong gave field guidance at the Pyongyang Automation Appliances
Factory, the Ryongsong Bearing Factory, the Pyongyang Rubber Factory,
the Jangsan Mine, and the Pyongyang Grindstone Factory.
On October 3, the North Korean media reported the holding of an
event before King Dangun’s mausoleum in commemoration of Foundation
Day of Korea.
On October 3, the North Korean media reported that the Presidium of
the Supreme People’s Assembly modified and complemented some
provisions of the regulations on development for the economic
development zones.

On October 1, the North Korean media
condemned South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha’s visit to two
U.S. military bases in South Korea:Camp Humphreys and Osan Airbase.

the stalemate in the North-South relations lies, in short, in the
South Korean authorities’ treacherous behavior.

On September 28, the North Korean media
reported that the head of the DPRK delegation made a speech at the
High-Level Meeting on Universal Health Coverage on September 23 during
the 74th session of the UN General Assembly.
On September 29, the North Korean media denounced the United States
regarding the increased role of the United Nations Command.
On September 29, the North Korean media reported that the head of
the DPRK delegation delivered a speech at the non-aligned foreign
ministers' meeting held at the UN headquarters on September 26.
On September 30, the North Korean media reported that a meeting of
Ministers for Foreign Affairs of the Group of 77 (G77) was held during
the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly on September 27.
On October 1, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un sent
a congratulatory message to Chinese President Xi Jinping on the
occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s
Republic of China.
On October 1, the North Korean media reported that First Vice
Foreign Minister Choe Son Hui, in a statement, said that the North and
the US agreed to have preliminary contact, followed by working-level talks.
On October 1, the North Korean media reported that talks were held
between Ri Song Guk, vice-director of the Central Public Prosecutors
Office of the DPRK, and Alina Montesino Li, vice-attorney general of
the Supreme Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Cuba and at the end
of the talks, the 2019-2020 plan for cooperation between the Central
Public Prosecutors Office of the DPRK and the Supreme Prosecutor’s
Office of the Republic of Cuba was signed.
On October 3, the North Korean media reported that North Korea’s UN
ambassador, Kim Song, in a speech at the 74th session of the UN
General Assembly on September 30, asserted that the South was
responsible for the stalemate in inter-Korean relations.
