visited the funeral parlor for Hwang Sun Hui, director general of the
Korean Revolution Museum.

its 11th plenary session; the 8th Central Committee of the Union of
Agricultural Workers of Korea held its 10th plenary session; and the
7th Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of
Korea held its 9th plenary session.
On January 23, the North Korean media reported that the Presidium of
the Supreme People’s Assembly adopted the Act on Maritime Search and Rescue.
On January 23, the North Korean media underscored the need to
strengthen the parliamentary cabinet system and the cabinet-based system.

table tennis team beat a South Korean team by 3 to 1.

Foreign Affairs held an invitational banquet for diplomats stationed
in the North on the occasion of the Lunar New Year’s Day on January
23, where Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon participated and delivered a
speech.
