【Internal Affairs】

On March 10 and 13, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un gave field guidance at another firepower strike drill of long-range artillery sub-units of the Korean People’s Army (KPA) on the front on March 10 and oversaw an artillery fire competition between the artillery units of the 7th and 9th corps of the Korean People’s Army (KPA).

On March 7, the North Korean media emphasized the importance of the cabinet-responsibility and cabinet-based system in organizing the economic work system, as well as the importance of improving the economic structure and economic management (Important issues arising in putting in order the economic work system and order at this time).

On March 8, the North Korean media reported that Premier Kim Jae Ryong provided field guidance at a residential construction site in Pyeongyang, the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the Jungsan Mine, the Pyongyang Dental Hygiene Products Factory, and the construction site for upgrading the Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory.

On March 9, the North Korean media encouraged the people to engage in land management work in the springtime to prepare for droughts and floods.

On March 10, the North Korean media called for an all-out fight against non-socialist practices to build socialist civilization.

On March 12, the North Korean media called for campaigns to protect and serve the people.

On March 13, the North Korean media reported that the North has taken rigorous measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and that it released more people from quarantine.

 

【Foreign Affairs】

On March 7, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, blasted the joint statement made on March 5 by five European countries, all UN Security Council members, condemning the firing of short-range projectiles by North Korea.

On March 10, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the firebombing of Tokyo, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for the Association of Korean Victims of Forcible Drafting and Their Bereaved Families, in a statement, called on the Japanese government to make a thorough apology and render full compensation for the forcible drafting of Koreans and to take practical measures to bury the remains of the Korean victims at the request of the bereaved families.

On March 13, the North Korean media blasted the city of Saitama, Japan for excluding the kindergarten of Korean Junior Middle School from the distribution of masks to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
