of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.

“Hwasong-14 ICBM” test launch “July 4 Revolution” and celebrated the
third anniversary of the launch.
On July 5, the North Korean media emphasized that the North should
step up the state emergency anti-epidemic work and hasten the building
of Pyongyang General Hospital regarding the decisions made by the 14th
Political Bureau Meeting of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’
Party of Korea (WPK).
On July 6, the North Korean media reported that Premier Kim Jae
Ryong gave field guidance at the Chonsong Youth Coal Mine, the
Pyongyang Pharmaceutical Factory, the Haeju Tractor Accessory Parts
Factory, and the Hungsan Mine.
On July 8, the North Korean media reported that Pak Pong Ju, vice
chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK)
and vice chairman of the State Affairs Commission, provided field
guidance at the construction site for Pyongyang General Hospital, the
Songyo Knitwear Factory, and Pyongyang Hosiery Factory.
On July 10, the North Korean media underscored the importance of
stepping up the state emergency anti-epidemic work until the risk of
the inflow of the virus disappears and taking thorough, complementary
measures in all sectors and at all units.

On July 4, the North Korean media reported that First Vice Foreign
Minister Choe Son Hui issued a statement regarding the rumors that a
DPRK-U.S. summit will be held in October.
On July 4, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a Q&A session with KCNA
reporters, stated that the North is pleased with the successful
holding of the national referendum on constitutional amendment in Russia.
On July 7, the North Korean media reported that Kwon Jong Gun,
director general of the Department of U.S. Affairs of the Foreign
Ministry of North Korea, in a statement, dismissed the rumors of a new
DPRK-US summit.
On July 10, the North Korean media reported that Kim Yo Jong, first
vice department director of the Central Committee of the WPK,
mentioned a DPRK-US summit.
