【Internal Affairs】

On August 13, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un presided over the 16th meeting of the Political Bureau of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
On August 8, the North Korean media reported that Pak Pong Ju, vice chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, visited Baecheon, Yeonan, and Cheongdan to check the overall progress in the work to prevent damage from heavy rain.

On August 9, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un rendered special assistance to citizens of locked-down Gaeseong City and emphasized that the people should believe in the Party and stand together with the Party to overcome the corona crisis.

On August 10, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un visited the flood-hit areas of Daecheong-ri in Eunpa County and rendered relief and recovery assistance to the people there, and even released his own personal reserves of grain for flood victims.

On August 11, the North Korean media reported that the Hygienic and Anti-epidemic Centers across the country are stepping up analysis of water quality during the rainy season.

On August 13, the North Korean media called on all of society to conform to the socialist ideas while emphasizing people-first doctrine.

On August 14, the North Korean media extolled President Kim Il Sung’s achievements on the occasion of National Liberation Day.
