Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un presided over the 18th meeting
of the Political Bureau of the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’
Party of Korea (WPK) on September 30 and gave field guidance in the
damaged areas in Gimhwa, Gangwon Province on October 2.
On
September 28, the North Korean media reported that the 18th meeting of
the Political Bureau of the 7th Central Committee of WPK discussed
ways to carry out the nationwide emergency anti-epidemic work more
intensely.
On September 29, the North Korean media
reported that the biggest achievement that the Party has achieved for
the people is none other than building the most powerful national
defense capability.
On October 1, the North Korean media
emphasized the importance of holding the 8th Congress of the WPK and
of marking the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK.
On
October 1, the North Korean media reported that the Presidium of the
Supreme People’s Assembly released Decree No. 424 that commemorative
coins marking the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK are to be
minted in gold and silver.
On October 2, the North Korean
media reported that Pak Pong Ju, vice chairman of the Central
Committee of the WPK, provided field guidance at the construction site
for the Chongchongang-Phyongnam Irrigation Waterway.
On
October 2, the North Korean media reported that a completion ceremony
for the fruit processing plant in Gosan was held in which gifts from
Kim Jong Un were delivered.

On September 27, the North Korean
media reported that the North warned that the South’s warships and
boats had intruded into North Korean waters while searching for the
body of the fisheries official shot and killed by North Korean
soldiers and that it requested immediate cessation of the intrusion
across the military demarcation line in the West Sea.
