【Internal Affairs】
On October 31, the North Korean media reported that a completion ceremony was held for Kumyagang Power Station No. 2 and the congratulatory message from the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) was conveyed.
On November 1, the North Korean media called on all reporters and journalists to encourage the people to work hard for the success of the 8th WPK Congress while emphasizing their roles as leaders on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Rodong Sinmun.
On November 1, the North Korean media reported that Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory message to the Conference of Representatives of Branches of Chongryon-2020.
On November 1, the North Korean media reported that Premier Kim Tok Hun gave field guidance at a number of co-ops in Baecheon, Yeonan, and Cheongdan counties, South Hwanghae Province; the Chollima Steel Complex; the Yonbaek Salt Works; the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill; and the Kumsong Tractor Factory.
On November 3, the North Korean media reported that the North has achieved results in the extractive, machinery, light, and forestry industries in the first month since the ‘80-day campaign’ for the 8th WPK Congress.
On November 3, the North Korean media emphasized the roles of the Party organizations in the land management work, calling on the nation to press ahead with afforestation and water conservation to further spruce up the country and make it a paradise for the people.
On November 5, the North Korean media reported that the 11th plenary meeting of the 14th Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) was held.

 

【Foreign Affairs】
On November 3, the North Korean media condemned Japan for planning to build a sea-based missile defense system.
On November 5, the North Korean media blasted the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) of Japan for pursuing a constitutional revision to specify the existence of the Self-Defense Forces.
