On December 30-January 1, the North Korean media reported that Kim
Jong Un participated in the 22nd meeting of the Political Bureau of
the 7th Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) on
December 30, 2020; paid tribute at the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun with
the delegates to the 8th Congress of the WPK; and penned a letter to
his people for “greeting the hope-filled new year” on January 1, 2021.
On December 27, the North Korean media called for thoroughly
embodying the socialist constitution on the occasion of Socialist
Constitution Day.
On December 28, the North Korean media reported that the people
moved into new houses at feed supply farms for the Kwangchon Chicken Farm.
On December 30, the North Korean media reported that the North
devised measures to block the inflow and spread of the vicious
coronavirus in the new year.
On December 31, the North Korean media reported the progress in the
preparations for the 8th Congress of the WPK, including the news that
a ceremony for awarding certificates to the delegates to the 8th
Congress was held.
On January 1, the North Korean media claimed that the all-people
advance by means of self-reliance achieved a proud victory of the
historic 80-day battle and that the new history of great change in the
anti-epidemic work and the restoration of damage from natural
disasters was created.
