statement issued on March 15, condemned the ROK-US military exercises.

On March 18, the North Korean media reported
that Choe Son Hui, first vice minister of foreign affairs, in a
statement, said that “We will counter the U.S. on the principle of
power for power and goodwill for goodwill.”
On March 19, the
North Korean media reported that the Foreign Affairs Ministry, in a
statement, warned that Washington would pay a price for the
extradition of a North Korean man to the U.S. by Malaysia.
